This is my first book on Dr. Maurice Bucaille. In it I concentrated my research on his personal/family life. I included detailed information about his birth, close family members to include his father, mother, sister, children, current/former spouses w/divorce information where available, and of most important to my research was his death/burial information.
For some 19 years since his reported death in 1998 a debate has raged concerning his death and most importantly the where related to his burial. There was no information publicly available related to this. Many insisting that he had converted in his later years to Islam due to his research involving science and religion. Others countered this argument by stating as a matter of fact that there exist no evidence that indicated any conversion.
My findings related to his burial cast a dark shadow on this argument for a conversion. I followed up my findings by researching the law in France related to burial in a private lot and found that it must be expressly stated in one's Will. Thus one cannot then argue that he might have died a convert to Islam but his loved ones refused to acknowledge this.
I am thinking of following up this book with a second one that will explore his educational/professional career especially in his dealing with the Egyptian mummies.
